Transmission Gully
Transmission Gully will be unique when it is finished for Pauatahanui because it will help far away communities by making places easier to get to. Some of these places that will be linked to Transmission Gully are Tawa, Porirua, Wellington, Palmerston North and of course Pauatahanui. Some of the benefits include quicker shopping trips, making hospitals more accessible in emergencies and reducing dangers on our roads with less traffic on the motorway.
Duck Creek is unique to Pauatahanui because you can have your birthday celebrations there and other special events. Another reason is it’s the only restaurant in Pauatahanui. It entertains people because they can come and relax while they have a yummy meal. If people are on a long walk they can stop by for brunch, lunch or dinner. Duck Creek is unique because except for two things they make all their food from scratch!

Trading Post

The Trading Post is unique because it has heaps of stuff that helps farmers with their animals. It can deliver to far away cities like Waikanae and Palmerston North, now that is easier than going into town or to Porirua or Wellington City. The local Pauatahanui farming families also need the food and other things too for their animals like horses, cats and dogs to keep them healthy. The Trading Post also sponsors Lamb and Calf Day and Pauatahanui School with some prizes.
Challenge Petrol Station

The Challenge Petrol Station is unique to the Pauatahanui Village because it is much closer than going into Whitby or Porirua. You can get your car fixed there or you can fill up with petrol. They sell diesel, Unleashed 91 and 95. If you are hungry you might also want to pick something to eat. They are very friendly people so if you are traveling you can stop and you know you can count on them!
Light House Cinema

The Light House Cinema is unique to Pauatahanui because it is local to the area and community so it doesn’t take long to get there. If you are from a different part of New Zealand and going on holiday you should come. It is very relaxing and you can take the wine, beer and treats you buy from the café into the movie with you. It has couches and cushions for the seats.
